These are difficult times, not knowing what is happening now or in the future. Many feel the stress of being unable to work, others because they are working continuously to help us all. Many just hoping for the day it all returns to normal.
In my belief, we shall not return to the way things were, we will learn and adapt as we always do and learn from the mistakes we all made before and during. It is in our nature to adapt, to get through these times.
It is important we think about our health, how we can affect others by our actions, and how they can affect us by theirs.
At the times we are at home, in isolation as guided by the recommendations of the medical experts and Government, we also have to focus on ourselves, there is more than our physical health, there is our mental wellbeing.
When the mind is not in the right place, our bodies are weaker, we need all our strength to keep our immune system working and our bodies calm. I have written about mental health and stress before HERE, so I won’t go into it now but I would like to help!
That is why I am GIVING AWAY several tracks that can help, if you are interested, you can access them below. Feel free to download them, keep them, use them. They are yours for your own use whenever you need them.
I have added a bit of blurb to go with each one, to explain them. These are relaxation and help tracks. Give yourself some time alone, lie down, put some earphones on and just listen.
BODY SCAN: A progressive relaxation Mindfulness technique known as the body scan, this is simply a slow, relaxing guide to your own body and the focus on relaxing the muscles. A great started technique, and the great thing about this is that the more you use it, the more relaxed you become. Did you know your body forgets your levels of relaxation! If you don’t allow yourself to relax, then you body can’t. I use this as part of my 3-track programme, start with this track and listen daily for one week, at least, and then move on. For anything to work, you have to follow the plan, with this, it is about teaching your body what your own levels of relaxation can be. You will notice the difference from the beginning of the week to the end, I guarantee that. Just listen to it daily.
MIND RELAXATION: Taking it a step further, once the body has learned to relax, only then can the mind really join in. Teach the body to relax and then move onto the mind. Teach the mind how to relax and it can remember where to go when you need it. Those times you are feeling stressed your body and your mind know where to go to relax, and just simply recalling the feeling will take you there. This is the second track in my 3-track programme, once you have completed the first track for a minimum of a week, you progress onto this track and again listen daily for a week.
CONFIDENCE WITHIN: Now there are times we doubt ourselves; we don’t feel confidence in who we are or the decisions we make, which is of course perfectly normal. It is when we dwell on those thoughts that we go too far into our own doubts. So when they begin to creep in, we need to remind our own minds that we are competent, that we are strong within and to let out the person we push down inside that can help us out. This track is about helping us believe in ourselves. This is the 3rd track and should listened to once we can calm the body and the mind. When the whole can remember what it is to feel relaxed. The final track in the 3-track programme.
I have had some amazing results with these tracks, and I would like to give them to you, to help you out. I have also added a couple more, check them out.
FOCUS ENERGY: We have those moments when we think in advance of situations or events, times when we become nervous or fearful and think it is going to make us scared or sick. We are persuading ourselves well in advance of what can go wrong! Guess what, if we tell ourselves we can’t do something, we will prove ourselves right every time and strengthen that belief. Here is a track that can help with that. In today’s situation, even going out to the shop can give us that nervous feeling. Use this to calm yourself and believe in your ability.
I’ve also attached a simple guide to a breathing technique. Just 2 minutes, twice a day for 2 weeks can bring your cortisol levels back to normal!
If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch, I am here to help in whatever way I can. We are all in this together, there is no need to feel alone.
